Five Norco College students – Hitha Antony, Nervana Nawwar, Chris Antony, Joe Vattamattam, and Bhavya Anand, or Team Solstice as they call themselves, won the College’s Annual Engineering Challenge.

Team Solstice developed an ADA-compliant solar charging bench, which allows users to charge electronic devices in 30 minutes and incorporates LED lights around the base for nighttime use. Teams had a year and $1,000 from the Engineering Pathways Grant to develop and produce their product.
