RCCD Foundation Launches 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Riverside Community College District Foundation launched a yearlong commemoration of five decades of scholarship, program support, and community engagement with a kickoff event at the RCCD Alumni House. The gathering brought together donors, elected officials, District and college leadership, Board of Trustees members, and students to celebrate the Foundation’s role in expanding educational opportunities and strengthening workforce development across the region.

The Riverside Community College District Foundation celebrated the return of its annual Donor Appreciation Dinner, bringing together donors, students, and college leaders to honor the impact of philanthropy on student success. Themed “A Legacy of Giving,” the evening featured remarks from RCCD Foundation Board President, a performance by the RCC Jazz Combo, and moving testimonies from scholarship recipients about how donor support transforms lives.

A $10,000 grant from the Albertsons Companies Foundation will support food security for students in RCCD’s TRIO and Upward Bound programs. The funding will provide nutritious snacks and light meals for nearly 2,000 high school students participating in year-round academic support programs.
