Jeffry Kaatz has been named as the Riverside Community College District Foundation director. Kaatz had been the director of Development for the School of Business Administration at the University of California, Riverside, a position he has held since 2011. Prior to UC Riverside, he served as the vice president for Advancement at La Sierra University (2001-11) and as professor of music, serving as chair of the music department at La Sierra University for 10 years. A cellist, Kaatz has been principal cellist and soloist with both the Redlands Symphony and Riverside County Philharmonic orchestras. He attended La Sierra University, graduating with honors. He then completed a master’s degree in music and earned Doctor of Musical Arts in cello performance at the University of Southern California in 1984 and 1989, respectively.
