Norco College’s Leona Vassale, a disability specialist, was selected as Riverside Community College District’s 2023 Classified Employee of the Year. Vassale, a 19-year employee, began her career at the District as a student worker in the Disabled Student Programs and Services and realized she wanted to devote herself to helping students with documented disabilities to overcome barriers and reach their potential. Noelle Hansen, Moreno Valley College's webmaster and a graduate of the College, and Kwong Lai, an analyst for Information Technology at Riverside City College, were also recognized by the District.
