A Riverside City College dance assemble was selected to perform a faculty member’s work at the American College Dance Association Conference. Professor Rosa Rodriguez Frazier’s “Femmeboi” was performed by Antonio Aguirre, Anthony Reynoso, Daniell Calderon, Kat Jones, Jaime Carriedo, and Jonathan Ramirez. 

Nearly 40 four-year and two-year colleges attended the Baja Regional dance competition. Nine colleges, one being Riverside City College, were invited to showcase their work at an evening gala at the Irvine Barclay Theatre. The performance received a standing ovation at both the adjudicated and gala performances, with adjudicators commending the group by saying, “it was a masterpiece that came from the community and made for the community.” The group was then asked to perform at National College Dance at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center.
