Riverside City College’s Jolene Farley was one of 15 individuals nationwide selected by the US Department of State for a Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship. Farley graduated with a degree in computer science and worked on the editorial staff on MUSE, the College's literary journal. In the two-year fellowship, Farley will receive up to $75,000 in academic funding to complete her bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University, summer internships, professional development and mentorship. Additionally, upon successful completion of the fellowship, she will receive an appointment in the Foreign Service as an information management specialist.
