Riverside City College received just over $1.5 million from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office to bolster the Rising Scholars Program.

 

The monies will provide support to students impacted by the carceral system. The $1,545,454 grant is a part of the 2022-23 California State Budget Act AB 1624/SB840. Riverside City College is one of the 44 California community colleges chosen as a grant recipient. The grant will be disbursed over a span of five years.

 

The Rising Scholars Program offers a comprehensive suite of services. The grant will significantly enhance services, allowing the program to expand its reach and impact.
